Abraham...

imagine this:
a man of God died earlier than expected;
and an evil murderer still living

this to signify God's mercy on the evil,
sparing him of his life to eternity of hell.
giving him chance to repent

and puts the good at rest,
deciding that he deserves to return back to the Father.

John Legend...

i have found new love in Gospel singers... well actually i used to love gospel music... all the blacks stomping their feet... howling... hollering... shaking like its no ones business... amen.
remembered when i worshipped led... i lead a few gospel tunes... it was really fun... making the worshippers stomping swaying, and clapping their hands... well it didnt sound as good as the blacks... but nonetheless it was exciting and new... wonder what happened to all my gospel cassettes... alls left is that kirk franklin cassette...

nice... heres a tune...
" i can change... i can change... i can change for you..."

bless your soul

hehe... remember about that presentation where i had no idea if i was doing the right thing... well got back my results for that presentation... low and behold... a merit... suprising it is... after that trash talking presentation... at least 20% of the subject is pretty much settled...

yea... anyway... i think i better pop by the ERC to find some plans of KL... just out of curiosity... still pending on deciding which essay topic to write for my urban design subject...

Jesus walks...

was checking my mail, sending bible study materials to my cell mate... while brushing my teeth!! its that a WOW or what?! and they say men cant multi-task... boo to the haters!
anyway, since i realize that i could do two things at the same time, then i decided to blog as well... Triple WOW!!

listening to JM telling me about her LTC retreat during the weekend... realizing how different the other ocf centres are... thinking how naive i was to assume where i am is probably where i should be staying. thinking... if i had taken more time to survey further on the other centres... i might really really find some place that would feel more like home... thinking how right JM is about the guys in OCF... being all braggy and bratty... believing numbers are everything. however...
oops... mouths all clogged up with saliva and toothpaste foam... time to RINSE!!

anyway, not to ponder on it too much... i cooked for JM today, in dedication of her sweetness... keke. being very proud of myself... of my adventures mood to try new dishes... and thank goodness it was yummy... baked salmon with potatos, cherry tomatoes and Chardonnay... thyme i should recommend is a real good herb for fishes... and of course my very own pasta pesto mamamia!!

im really peeved now... being the fact that half of my work done today had dissapeared due to some "technical problems"... ugh!!

Scooters... and cold fingers.

its the weekend... and its freakin cold... i shut all the windows to avoid the snow queen from paying me a visit.

im planning to hibernate the whole weekend in my room... keeping warm and finishing some work... and sing songs to myself...

goosebumps... maybe i should go take a hot warm bath... yea.

Risottos...

made my debut in the world of risotto making yesterday... was inspired by some fella on tv, when he was demonstrating hoiw to make risotto using local aussie mushrooms... adding flavour by mixing it with abit of european mushrooms. so i tried my version... hehe it was a minor debut, coz i used this shortcut risotto packet thing... everything turn out pretty well, 'cept was impatient to wait for the rice to soften to its full potential... yum.

its been a rocky week... but i see glimpses of light ahead... being with someone really isnt easy as it seems, especially when you have to consider the other...

im getting rather sleepy... i've decided to dedicate friday and the rest of the weekend to my work... aint no stoppin' me!!

just like the song! sing it!

aint no mountain high enough
aint no river wide enough
to keep me from getting to you...
oh yea ... oh la la...

must say goodbye...

ehem...
it upsets me that in 3 hours time... i have a presentation, which i have not really a 100% clear idea of doing it, yet i still have to go on with my gutt feeling on the work... ugh. nontheless... the show must go on... sigh... if only i was a wee bit smarter... shucks...

anyhoo... after 2 and 1/2 years, i've finally got intouch with an old friend... an old friend whom my parents are old friends with her parents as well... small world. hard to imagine... she's already working... but she's so puny... working at chubb security earning big bucks... ah shucks.. time is running... arggh!

okay, im gonna steal some of jm's kuih before i head off... yum...

my parting words before i leave...

"i know.... we must say goodbye... we must say good bye..."

irritated... by GWYN.

the weekend is here... the semester has 6 more weeks before it ends... and i feel dreadfully unprepared for the end... being involve in ocf really makes my life here stagnant... everyone wants God to stretch them in many ways... and now when i feel bothered about issues... im not so sure if i can assume this as God's stretching me program to aid in my growth... or just me self inflicting myself with all these issues... when it all aint necessarily so.

i realise... i shouldnt sulk up and just hate the world... being negative about the world when it worldly problems occur... i shouldnt not blame on anything... and appreciate my life better... i should exemplify my meaning of appreciation...

i love architecture alot... though my perception of it differs from many other people... i should not let the others affect my sort of passion for it...

i should not care how people would understand my writings.... as i should be proud of my writing and style of writing structure....
i write to not make sense...

anyway! Back to work!!!

You Know You're Malaysian When...

You complain about the quality of the pirated DVD you just purchased. "What, RM10 for DVD5?! Aiyah, boss ... sound no good, cheaperlah ..."

You're willing to consume sambal petai and durian and gladly suffer the bloating and wind-breaking incidents.

You're exceedingly polite to the Mat Sallehs but you slag your own kind. "Hello, sir. Why don't you sit here, it’s got the best view of the city skyline." But, "Aunty-ah, your table is over there next to the kitchen."

You order Maggi goreng and fried chicken, complain about how oily the food is, and then proceed to finish it anyway.

You love to talk about food. You're already thinking about what to have for dinner while eating lunch. "I'm stuffed. What shall we have for dinner?"

You dive into a communal-style meal the moment the dish lands on the table only to hesitate at the last morsel of food on the serving dish. There are two possible explanations for this: the first is the pai seh (embarrassed) factor, while the other is the myth that the person who eats the last piece will be a spinster.

You hit the accelerator the moment the first drop of rain hits your windshield. "Alamak, it's going to rain. Sure traffic jam one. I'd better drive faster."

You seize the opportunity to make a U-turn anywhere ... especially where there is a sign telling you not to. Well, so long as the cops aren't in sight.

You feel a burning desire to send text messages and even have the gall to give your friend a blow-by-blow account of the movie to your friend on the handphone — during the screening of the movie. "Okay, now that girl Lizzie is impersonating an Italian singer; she so doesn’t look Italian ..."

You forsake your loved ones for the all-important four letter-word: S-A-L-E. "Sorry, mum, I can't take you to Aunt Mary’s because I have to go to MidValley before the crowd." You’re also more than happy to be part of the insane traffic jam that forms around malls during weekends and sale periods.

11. Reality shows Akademi Fantasia and Malaysian Idol dictate your social life. "What, no TV at the mamak? Count me out — I'm staying home. Rinie needs my support."

You pepper every sentence with lah. "No-lah, I can't see you today-lah. I have to study-lah. You know-lah, the prison warden aka mak is watching me like a hawk"

You fail to function normally without your daily dose of teh tarik and nasi lemak.

You have owned at least one Proton in your lifetime. Cheap, cheap. That is until you start to make enough dough to buy that Honda you've been salivating over.

You slow down at an accident site to take down the car number plate, but won't step out of your car to help — the victim could be a robber!

You'd rather park your car along the main road outside the mall, where there's a yellow line, rather than pay RM1 to park inside where there are adequate bays.

You plead, bat your eyelids and relate a sob story to the officer at the town council office to let you off the hook (or reduce the amount considerably) for the fine you incurred when you parked your car on the double line.

You make an appointment for 10am and conveniently show up a half hour late — Malaysian time, what ...

You pop open the wet tissue packet at the Chinese restaurant by squeezing the trapped air to the top of the packet before proceeding to smash your fist into it. The louder the pop the better.

You greet your friend / neighbor / acquaintance on the street with "How are things?" or "Have you eaten?" or better yet, by stating the obvious: "Went to market ah?"

Ramlee burger is the "piece de resistance" of your growing-up-years cuisine.

You catch all major televised events at the mamak.

You have roughly six meals a day (breakfast, mid-morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper). Then there's the snacking — keropok ikan, pisang goreng, muruku, jam tarts and the like.

You get the whole family dressed to the nines, jump into the car and head for the minister's open house — and ask for styrofoam boxes and plastic bags to tar pau food.

Your accent and language style vary according to the race of the person you are conversing with.

You've got a friendly disposition. Smiles are abundant and your "Apa khabar?" is warm and sincere.

You exclaim loudly how expensive everything is, even though the items may in fact be going for a steal. "Wah! So expensive, ah? Hak sei ngor (Scare me to death)!"

You dig deep into your pockets to contribute to the latest appeal for donations in the newspapers.

You "dis" our country all the time, but as soon as something good happens (like winning the Thomas Cup), you morph into a proud Malaysian.

You never travel abroad without a bottle of chilli sauce, or sachets which you can sneak into restaurants.

You're proud to be Malaysian - and you pass these jokes on to all your Malaysian friends!

Michael... Buble...

due to the non-existance of the internet in my household, it has been very inconvenient to blog... especially at times when i do had stories to unleash... but timing just cant compromise my inconveniences... how sad it is. but non the less i do get chances to blog occasionally...
anyway, the holiday is here...actually it isnt the holidays instead the "non-teaching period"... work goes on as usual... just with the absense of lectures and tutorials... gee.
i've been reading my sister's and father's blog... and enjoy the reading... great to have a family strong in communication... openess of sharing.
i've finally gotten hold of the new michael buble cd... marvelous his voice is. im jst obsess about him... i remembered the time when i bought his debut album from douglas at a real low price (he has regreted for offering such a value to me), i kept on listening to the album for more than a month... had not given chance to any other music sorts but totally indulged into his mesmerizing voice. i really wish i had his voice... right away i'd be in show bisness... or always be serenating my lover such beautiful melodies... oooohhhh.... shucks!!
i am so familiar to his debut album, that i know every song and lyric from cover to cover... i can sing the whole album... thats how obsess i was... or am still... not surprise it would be the same for his new album as well.
oh i am reminded as well... saturday nights are just to good to be sitting in the corner to study... good movies occasionally pops into the tv... like today... Atlantis, Star War, and Elizabeth... and Waterworld... temptations... good thing i dont have a tv... go figure...
FYI... ive been told by a very good source that i have a sexy butt! i'm not egocentric...

"The Sheep That Tried to Moo"

anyway, just to add... here's an interesting story... i had taken it from KJ's Blog.

Once upon a time, there lived this sheep called Sheep. Sheep was a personal favourite of this shepherd. The shepherd always feeds him well, takes care of him and gives him the best shelter an animal can get. Consequently, Sheep became a very fat animal. Obviously from all the good food and treatment from the shepherd.

Then one day, the shepherd decided to sell Sheep to his brother, who is a cow farmer, for reasons unknown. Sheep was distraught with sadness, for after months of excellent treatment from the shepherd, he is now under a new ownership.

The cow farmer was lazy sonuvabitch. As soon as Sheep arrived in his farm, he shoved sheep into a grazing grassy patch to mingle with the cows. The cow farmer just left Sheep there to fend for itself, to feed itself.

The days go by, Sheep felt neglected because when he has been so accustomed to being pampered by the shepherd that being left to fend for himself in a large field of cows made him lonely. So one day, he boosted his courage to communicate with the cows. He approached one and bleated. The cow looked at it and mooed, attempting to make friends.

Unfortunately after months of pampering, Sheep unconsciously developed a chronic case of inferiority complex. Thinking that his bleating was inferior to a cow's moo, Therefore, Sheep tried to speak Cow-ish. Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, he just couldn't moo. All that he could come up with was "Boo, Boo...", which was a mangled amalgamation of "baa" and "moo" and it came out of his mouth all mangled up, but he tried anyway.

Sheep then tried to speak with the cow, "boo, boo...". The cow, surprised with Sheep's attempt to speak cow, but not wanting to hurt Sheep's feelings, spoke with Sheep. Naturally, Sheep was ecstatic. He finally found a friend! So Sheep continued to speak with his weird-ass sheep/cow accent.

After a few weeks, the shepherd sold more sheeps to the cow farmer. The farmer, being the lazy bastard as usual, just chucked his furry, bleating acquisitions into the same grazing patch as Sheep. Sheep was excited with his new friends and walked over to welcome them. Unfortunately, after spending a few weeks in the grazing patch, Sheep spoke with the other sheep with a "Boo, Boo..." accent, much to the disgust of his fellow sheep.

Consequently, the sheep shunned him, thinking that he was such a poseur for speaking mangled Cow-ish/ Sheep-ish and forgetting his roots that he was a sheep. Sheep didn't care. Sheep thought he had plenty of cow friends, and forsaked his sheep brethren.

After a while, as the cow farmer turned to sheep farming, Sheep began losing his cow friends, and saw the number of sheep grew. However, because of his mangled Sheep/Cow accent, he couldn't make a single sheep friend, and all his cow friends have left the grazing patch. He became all alone.

St. Patrick's Day...

i've got G-mail !! yea... thanks to my IT-savvy gal... i managed to get connected into the best of circles experiencing the wonderful use of G-mail...
it was st. patrick's day yesterday... and i finally i understood what this whole celebration about... basically its a whole lot of nothing.... one word BOOZ... and all these years i thought it was some memorable day reflecting on this fella patrick... however it probably might had been this irish fella migrated to the U.S.A... then he got drunked at a bar... and went around telling everyone that he was a saint... and bla bla... people noticed this foreigner having a gala time... they decided to join in the fun... and there you have it... st. patrick's day!!
Anyway!
finally it's the weekend!! tiring day it was yesterday at the studio... its really hard to communicate with a German... nonetheless... we're moving on to the next submission next week.
highlights of the day for today...
errands... doing my broadband, and bond clearance...
and much later... Ping Pong... before OCF...
to think... oh dear! i need to poo!!

CG...CG...CG... ocf...

a new week has begun... and i started my day with an ommelete, tennis, a one hour lecture... and ended it with drum sticks... yum.
anyway, was down at Geelong yesterday to visit another OCF branch over there... they had some oreintation BBQ, inviting new people to the fellowship... and they needed the extra hand of support... well it was supposed to be support, but to me it felt more otherwise. however i did managed to mingle around here and there... and to be honest it's pretty tough to mix with the other races, i.e. Africans, Americans... etc. Culture is carries a real big barrier... you stand there staring at the other fellow, choked not knowing the next line you should be saying at times, but there were some that went pretty okay... and i come to think, no wonder melb uni is a so Asian place (mainly, Singaporeans & M'sians)... it will be terribly hard to pull in africans, and europeans into the big circle... with all the lahs... we're like daffy ducks... or even donald ducks... personally i prefer Daffy... he's really funny... and much leaner than Donald.
Anyway!
its high time i had my bath...

German Sausages... they are as huge as the Germans...

its been about 3 weeks since i landed on this huge island full of wombats and kangaroos... and life's been interesting. interesting to meet the familiar people again... and happy to know some arent around... tsk!
i've just ended classes... had my first studio class today... and the whole excitement about this is that they've finally given my first choice of project... it wasnt really about the project i had selected, but the sheer joy of being given my first preference... as you all know the previous 2 semesters... i was always designated towards my second preference... sad but true. all this does effect my mental situation... i mean i can always nag and complain about my second preference projects as it wasnt my first choice... however instead a no choice, therefor the enthusiam level is so much lower. given my first choice... theres no room for complain or excuses if i did badly... coz... it was my first and foremost choice. Anyway!
oh dear... BRB.

6 days to go...

finally... paul has left the land that was almost hit by a tsunami... its a strange feeling having him leave the place. all my four years studying overseas... home was the place where his face was so familiar. everytime i am home, he's one of the faces i aspect to see... but now... its all different. i worry and wonder how he's doing taking care of himself... unsure what goes in his mind... if it was me going off... things would be easier coz i know what i think... but for him i cant do that but to just hope for the best...

Finally! that old man's dead... after all those years... i thought he would never die... being around almost for 4-5 architectural generations. to think after all those years... he'd die at 98 years old... Philip Johnson... the spineless architect... ever changing to the seasons... he was never really in one of the architectural eras... only played a mediating role... from the International Style to the Post Modern... to the Deconstruction... up till the second modernity... he'd always been around. goes wherever the money goes... even side the nazi's when they tried to take over the world... people still respect him... for his money that is. i guess without him all these architectural movements would never be heard of... with all that cash... it had to go somewhere... and thank goodness it all went to architectectural spendings instead of baby powder...

the nearness... of the freakin' New Year...

i believe a few have been offended by the language... but anyways... everything thing is still running very clearly in my mind... my relationship towards GT hangs on a thin line... every few minutes the thought of how i was screwed just rushes up to my brain.... just like blood rushing to my brain ready to explode. so tragic... but at the same time so pathetic i can be because of this situation... darn "adult christians"...
and on top of that... the festive season ain't helping much... ah yes... Chinese New Year... among all the most hated festive season for me... well last time i use to love it for the holidays... and fireworks... but other than that... its aweful... the decos... the characters... the superstitions... and most of all the music... the horrible terribly horrendous sounds... "guo xing nien... nien, nien, nien..." arghhh... i NIEN you than you know!! (btw, nien could also mean- strangle) but anyway... its aweful... everywhere i go... every where i am... the music just cant stop... its so irritating.. so annoying... you should watch some of those new year mtvs... lil kids with their heavy make ups, tryiing to run off being an adult(why would they wanna do that), lip syncing... acting oh so cute... with their overly makeup smiles... and the lousy adults... with their terrible acting skills... so lame... every year... the same ol bunch... probably the national tv station only has those few VCDs in their collection... even they know its not worth it to buy too much of it...
and the ang paos... oh pls... me being a non-materialistic person couldnt care less... (and lucifer stands right behind me saying.. "i'm sure you are..." in his usual sarcasm gestures)
its been a long day... wanted to swing some golf balls... but heaven forbit me to do htat... its just too dangerous... me being in a driving range with all those adults holding a 7 iron... it'll be a total massacre... a game of bloody golf... with them bloody golfers... i wont be able to aim for the green... instead black or white grass... and occasional bald spots... ugh...

achieving Nirvana... at Low's Peak...

just came down from the mountain... and it was a piece of cake... cept for the blisters... caused by the shoe... a shoe which cost RM4... freakin cheap.. but good to go up hill... however down was the other problem. on the whole it was awesome... wait till i post up the pics. man i tell... ont he way up the hostel in car... all i could think about was that no good piece of mother f*cker... (i'm refering to the boy's father)... he's the real shit behind all this complications. i've never met such a worthless dumb shitty mother f*cker... all his f*ckin' bullshit alll flying around aimlessly... can't get a grip on what the f*ck he was saying... i've seen and met alot of shitty adults.. but this one's a f*ckin' winner... redundancy shit i tell you. you know... this all confirms it all on the 3 people i hate most... so called "christians", adults... and the worse of it all "adult christians"... dont' pay no respect to students like me... the conversation on the phone is still ringing in my head... mother f*cker insulted bout me going to be an architect... saying i'm in the wrong... im'ma cheating on his f*ckin' money.. worst yet.. tell me about God... all you shitty GT f*ckers... using God to defend yourselves... F*ck you!! f*ckin' hippocrites...
mother f*cker's first excuse... he didnt know it was a shared room... second excuse, it's all dr sumi's fault... third excuse, what if my son cant get along... fourth excuse, heard your area is a red light district area, ... then the f*cker blabs on how f*ckin rich he is... so redundant... if you're so f*ckin rich.. then why not just pay me the freakin money. and i insulted him with the word cheat... at that time, it slipped out of my mouth... but now... i f*ckin' mean it!! honorable man my f*ckin ass... calling me a rip off... im calculating the bastard 6 months minimum and he says im playing with his cash... im'ma tell you, you son of a b*tch... u messed up my whole scheme... im gonna f*ck up your son... telling me i aint got no blessings from God... and i cant make it as an architect... you puk*mak b*tch. because of your f*ckin son... i turn down an offer to another one bedroom apartment... work the shit (including the people who help me) out finding a place for your f*ckin wussy spineless son... his balls all chopped off by you eh? mother f*cker... wasted all my overseas call for you... paid you're f*ckin share... and now you want to run away... aint got nothing to lose eh? kiss my ass... you dick head... aint got no brain... only talk shit and God in GT... f*ck GT... i got away once... and came back... idiot i am... now i know why i stop going there... coz theres just too much pricks and hippocrites... using God's name for every f*ckin reason... im stickin the finger at you all... and all the other christian organizations... (sorry im turning this into a larger contexts...) but GT is really begining to suck.

man... i was gonna talk about my Mt. Trip... end up talking about this... what a waste of my effort... i am so freakin' tired...
