'tis the season to be jolly... fa la la la la.
i've been thinking about relationships between engineers and architects. its a bitter rivalry. i always thought that when i become an architect, i will try my best to respect them engineers in there area of expertise. sadly to say i cant say the same for them. so far their obviously out to back stab us and trying to prove to us that we're dispensable. we're just a bunch of stupid profesionals who didn't do/ sucked in science and math. this has been a good warning for me before i start work, to learn not to give face to these engineers. its either because they hold some sort of a grudge on us or they just think they are far way too superior. whatever the reason is, all i need to know is to stay as far away from them and to treat them like shit whenever i've got the chance to do so. they are indeed a real "busy" bunch. never sleep and always on the move.
im going down town today... boxing day sales?!?!
i seriously need to update more...

do you prefer digging your... ear or nose?
anyway, cherries are back in season. i have not eaten bananas in months. wonder if my parents would be interested in cherry picking. for me, i prefer to just pick them from the market. yummylicious. i should try this new duck confit recipe. but the bad part is that it requires a heap load of olive oil.
tonight on tv... HowIMetYourMother/ MyNameIsEarl/ Bones/ JamieOliverAustralianDiary/ FamilyGuy. seriously i ain't addicted to tv.
glad Grant Hill is back and playing. he's not been playing a full season for almost 3 years. so far he's been starting all 10 games. please don't sprain anything. maybe the orlando magic has a shot for the championships... let alone the playoffs.
And, its almost a month before christmas.

new obsession...
the juice was probably excreted through a phallus... as the seat was last seen lifted. (did you know that the word penis originally meant "tail" in latin. however, some say that it originates from the indo-european word pesos... then the spanish decided to name their currency... minusing the S. okay the 3rd part isn't true. or is it?!)
since australia has not yet begun screening season 3 of HOUSE (although i am getting a bit tired of the fella for now). i have discovered a new show... CRIMINAL MINDS!
i just love profilers... don't you? this reminds me of my research paper on Criminology back in college. i think criminals are an interesting subject. but this doesnt mean that i'm actually brave enough to look at one in the eye. i know squat about them besides the fact that majority of killers have cave man features. another show that i wouldnt mind watching would be THE UNIT. love the action part hate the family housewife etc parts. we don't want to know life away from the killing fields. we wanna see bangbang... kaboom action!i've begun to respect supermodels ever since i found out that the geek a.k.a Dr. Spencer Reid a.k.a MatthewGrayGubler(weird surname) in Criminal minds was formerly one. i've always thought that models were just 2 dimensional humans with exaggerated features. he's also a sketch artist and directed short films. he even has a webpage. interesting. although i suspect that his geeky character in the show is actually pretty similar to who he is in person. borderline paranoid schizophrenic. i always wanted to be a supermodel sometimes... so i could take home the nice looking clothes. sigh...
Little Miss Sunshine is a must see. funny sad funny.
oh ya. one paper down... one more to go!

Zakaria... sigh... double sigh...
Opinion by LEE KIM CHUAN
Friday November 3, 2006
Turn Zakaria’s mansion into public library
EVER since Datuk Zakaria Md Deros' controversial “Istana Idaman” in Klang was highlighted in the media, there have been many calls by the people to demolish the mansion which reportedly costs over RM8mil.
By law, any structure that is illegally built has to be demolished. Many small temples on government land and squatter homes have been levelled to the ground for the same reason.
Both the Prime Minister and Selangor Mentri Besar have said that no one is above the law. Thus, it is obvious that the mansion has to be demolished.
But, as a Klang resident, I do not agree. It is a complete waste of money and resources to demolish the mansion.
It serves no real purpose to tear down the beautiful building.
Many visitors to Klang have complained that this royal town of the only developed state in Malaysia is dirty and dusty with uneven and dark roads, noisy and ugly crows, and poorly maintained public facilities.
One example is the Klang public library in Jalan Tengku Kelana. It is very small and the reading materials are pathetically outdated.
The library is supposed to serve more than 500,000 Klang residents, but how many people actually go there?
I suggest that the government turn Zakaria's mansion into a new public library complex.
And I am sure Zakaria, who is known for his contributions to charity, will not mind.
i don't quite agree on the mansions aesthetics. although, the proposal for a library isn't half bad.

and you thought... the durians were everything.
vivo city has a similar look to the EPLF centre by SANAA. its the in thing to design undulating platforms...
check out the Vivo City video!!

then there is the ever so awaited Marina Bay Sands. Moshe Safdie's newest masterpiece. Jayjun tried to discribe the building to me but i couldnt really process the image in my head. i guess seeing is believing.
bolehland is really losing out on this design escapade. Please no more lame-o Danga Bay like designs. our type of tropical design style is getting us nowhere.

do you recognize this fella... ?
yea... he's the guy who sang some duet 2 christmas ago. his voice to me is somewhat similar to Aaron Neville's. didn't know he was actually that good. haha. amazing.

there isn't enough love to give... for all the ladies
KUALA LUMPUR: Educated women above 30 prefer to marry younger men even though they are financially unsound and are less educated, a Universiti Malaya associate professor revealed in her working paper.
National Family Development and Population Board acting director-general Aminah Abdul Rahman said this was happening because women of this age found it hard to find men of the same education level, economic status or age. Most who fit this criterion were already married anyway.
She said this was based on a working paper by associate professor Tey Nai Peng from the Economic and Administration Faculty of Universiti Malaya titled “Marriage and Family Development in Malaysia” presented at a national seminar, Building the Future Generation, recently.
According to the working paper about 13% of women above the age of 30 and well educated in this country were still not married. Based on a racial breakdown, about 29% were Chinese followed by Indians (26%) and Malays (16%).
“But it is a different story altogether for bachelor professionals, and one of the major reasons for not getting hitched was that getting married was expensive.
“Of bachelors, 34.5% of those above 30 said it was economically not viable to get married because of the cost of marriages,” Aminah added
She said if this trend was not checked, it would certainly contribute to a fall in the fertility rate and this was expected to have a big implication on the plans for Vision 2020 in the next 15 years.

Another used to be...
shouldn't speak too soon, who knows i might be wrong.
i'm back to my R&B mood again. its R&B music or no music at all. Joe's the man, along with A.Keys, BEP, J.Legend, babyface, M.Jordan, etc. And with a little bit of Timberlake. he's a mix of pop and r&b, and i dig the latter genre. love those jiwa-ful drum beats.
Anyway! three more weeks before design submissions and four more weeks before d-day. slightly worried about my exam timetable how everything is all squeezed in 3 days. just can't wait to be finish. then i'll have to concentrate on the HWIDC.
heading for lunch then straight to uni. wonder if i should cycle there?? heck i'm starving...

LA4... a proposition to the world.
anyway... earlier in the evening i attended a forum organised by lab.3000 which was part of this STATEOFDESIGN week thingy. the title of the forum was 'THE CHINA CONNECTION'. pretty interesting, but it was a pity that only 3 out the 5 invited guests speakers were able to attend. nevertheless it was a good chance to hear Peter Davidson speak of his design intentions for the SOHO Shangdu project in China. he seemed like a terribly misunderstood person especially by critiques and academics. i guess that's that' s the sort of respect you get by doing arbituary designs that uses the same technique all the time. but in his own right he is pretty well read and has his own oppinions and perspective on things that are worth listening to. i personally dislike his design for the SOHO shangdu. the idea was good, but the design for me was not very convincing. using a computer to develop the whole concept is pretty interesting. however i still prefer the classic way of the conventional SKETCH. its just more meaningful and soulful.
LA4 has been selected to present our design proposal for the former power station site along spencer street. and as the director of the company, i have to present our work in front of more than a 150 students. scary. at first i figured that our chances of being selected to present our design in the finals was pretty high. but then i thought maybe being not selected would prove to be a better alternative. true enough we were selected. now all we're hoping is to come out as winners.
safari is lagging. i better end here.

love being overated...
as a cell member... i have an equal right to say that i don't want to go for CG activities. I have the choice of just being happy to have cell groups only on friday nights. furthermore i am not obligated to entertain any of my cell mates, and i can leave just so when i want.
It pisses me off when people try to blackmail and take advantage of me being a christian.using these so called christian standards and expectations to get what they want. i am not a standard nor do i have/ must comply to an organization's standard by force. i have a free will too. i'm not being paid to love and give a damn about my ocf/ cell members anyway.
heck i can just walk off anytime i want. everyone's doing it and so can i.

in search of cardboards...
the phoenix suns has decided to improve on their players footwork. hence they have acquired Ronaldinho to enhance their teams quickness on the floor. fast breaks can't be as fast as this. it's a pity that they have traded Carlos Arroyo to the Orlando Magic. it would have been a dynamic brazillian duo.

Practice... perfect.
nevertheless, the issue on SPACE PRIZE has Architectural thought and substance. one particular project that caught my attention was a proposal of a new way of experiencing a lift/elevator. the idea was base on human's self concious. how people react different or behave in a manner that does not reflect on their true identity. they behavior becomes somewhat droning and colorless. there isn't any excitement as well as enjoyment when entering a lift. in-fact it supposed creates anxiety and uncomfort. most people would just stare at the floor level indicator, impatiently waiting to get out.
so this student proposes an idea of a dark lift where one can only see a silhouette of a person with tiny infrared dots that follows and detects the persons movement. by doing this, this would allow a person to feel that he is able to act freely and at ease. because noone would be able to identify him. i wonder what happends when they exit the lift. and they probably can see you digging your nose even if its just a silhouette.
totally unfeasible.

21st Century... the Century of Cities
borrowed a DVD regarding the great Portugese architect- Alvaro Siza. hehehe... so exciting!! wonder what's it about. during the holidays i stumbled upon a documentary on google videos about the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto by Alvaro Siza. interesting idea behind such simple buildings. i had always love architecture around the spanish, italian, and portugese region.
okay. 2 minutes to tutorials.
hmmm. i think i'll pop by the Faculty to check out the Superstudio Exhibition. would have gone earlier if i had known.

Ohh... SANAA!!
SANAA
Kazuyo Sejima + Ryue Nishizawa
Zollverein School
Essen, Germany

“Our aim was to achieve transparency in the concrete structure.”
SANAA
The Zollverein School of Management & Design, inaugurated on July 31, 2006, is the first new building on the historical coal-mining Zollverein site; declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001.
“We wanted to design a simple cubic building to compliment the existing buildings and achieve continuity within the site.”
SANAA
The design, a cuboid structural shell, picks up the basic functional and effective idea used by the original Zollverein architects Schupp and Kremmer.
The oversized cube, which measures 35 meters by 35 meters and is 35 meters high, reflects the dimensions of the Zollverein mine.
The seemingly coincidental organization of the openings, windows in three different sizes, create an unusual interaction with the surroundings and the interior.
“We have made many big openings in the facades to create different daylight situations inside the building. The position of the windows are defined by the interior programs. By varying the ceiling heights each floor has a very different atmostphere.”
SANAA

but not for me...
however the new installations done by Eisenman is horrible. totally incongruous with CS' restoration work of the Castelvecchio musuem. it's hideos! he totally ruin it. they should'nt have asked an american to do the job. it should had been european, i.e. CampoBaeza, even Renzo would have been a better choice. geez.
anyway, class in one hours time.

a wink and a smile...
had july camp over the weekend. it was surprisingly quite enjoyable. nick and ethan were hilarious. the speaker was... okay. he was super pro-america. everything good happened to him while he was in America i guess. the workshops were... you don't want me to go there. but the general atmostphere this year was so much more different than the one 2 years ago. things have changed so much ever since. this may not have been the best and most memorable camp but its definitely my last, i would assume. why are camps usually held at very secluded and obscured places? but i must say this july camp's campsite was nice. warm and comfy.
after being away for 2 days, the kitchen is back to a mess. sigh. can't wait till i move out and live on my own. things would be easier then.
better prep up before class.

rather like a habit... you could always break.
im wondering if the "shampoo" left in my bathroom is really shampoo. it's so dry.
My place has been turn into some sort of motel to many visitors during the past few weeks. we now have another new guest from Adelaide. courtesy of jules bloodline. but that's not the worst of worries... not looking forward to Archi Practice B. Raisbeck is taking our class!! ugh! fat bald bastard. from what i heard from the 3rd years. he makes your practice life a living hell. apparently we have to write our letters and assignments wearing gloves. gawd! and we have to work in groups! with landscapers. i tot the group thingys were long over. we final years need our own space and time to ourselves.
other subjects taken: Design (as always) and Principles of Business Law (hope it isn't a heavy loaded sub)
picasso exhibition at the NGV. hope it won't be a dissapointment.
woody allen's 'anything else' is a true parody of many relationships. a must see. available at your local video rental stores.

only because i know...
Ben: so how's architecture? i heard it's a pretty busy course.
Me: yea, well... we're probably relatively busier during the semester than the exam period
Ben: no exams eh?
Me: depending on the subjects taken, architecture is more of a... err... hand... hand...
Ben: hmm?
Me: whats the word? oh! a HAND JOB experience...
Others: *Gasp* ?!
Me: hmmm that doesnt sound right...
Ming: you mean "hands on"?
Me: oh yea! HANDS ON experience... oops!

the heat wins in 6 games...
Dr. Helen Caldicot was one of the 5 guest panelist. wish i could have been there. but then again, i might had been bored to tears. i've read her book and that would had been more than enough to be well aware of the nuclear situation. nuclear war is a business.
a nuclear winter would be the worst scenario that could fall upon mankind, if a nuclear fiesta were take place. we've all seen a sneak preview of the damage and possible effect if a nuke winter were to fall upon us in -the matrix. i would rather surrender myself to the robots and be kept in the matrix.
but hey, look on the bright side. many of these nuclear weapons have not really been tested (in a larger scale) anyway. hence theres a small percentage of possibility that these buggers might not even work. or maybe this is all a hoax, and the nuclear bombs are infact just an empty shell. all just to scare the wits out of us all. afterall, its just a marketing business strategy. humans arent that evil and heartless. are they?
but anyway, why are we so scared and freaked out about the nuclear crisis? i mean, this has been going on for years since the ColdWar. back then, not many people really knew what was going on anyway. its just that now, things are becoming more publicized. as i said, its a marketing strategy- a strategy of fear. the more scared we are, the more likely we would pay our taxes. truly, the coldwar has not ended. yea, russia lost its superpower status all because of faulty nuclear missile switches . but that doesnt change the fact that it's over. infact its an accumilation of thingss in the past brought forward to the present. this makes it more so confusing to understand what the heck is going on?!
anyway, im just crapping here. so i'll just leave you with the currently infamous 22 questions . and i'm off to have my hair cut.
aussie soccer sucks.

butts that taste like hamburgers...
with unreasonable doubt we'd all support the current prime minister. afterall, he's the man thats ultimately in power. not to say that i disapproved of PakLah's dictatorship, in fact i think he's doing a pretty okay job.
on the contrary, i am quite disappointed with Mahathir's childish behaviour in dissing the current PM. he's obviously showing the nation that he's more concern about his own personal interests rather than the nations. The johor bridge for one is a good example. he's obviously trying to stir up some old tension with the singapore government with the curvy bridge. i agree that the form of the bridge is an obvious provocative symbol of how mahathir wants to potray malaysia's relationship with singapore- complicated. it is not an easy road for singaporeans who are interested in venturing into the Malaysian market. okay, maybe its better that way. if not we'd probably have to establish a new "kampung lagi baru". not being racists here. purely referencing it through precedent events.
thank goodness the cabinet is on PakLah's side... vocally.
one of my tutor once adviced me to always have a sceptical mind when reading texts. it made sense, to establish a non-gullible mindset. not believing everything you read or heard. somehow or rather, i find it hard to establish a sceptical approach especially when reading most architectural texts. in particular things regarding Lecorbusier. despite the fact that he's a fetish hornbag, arrogant, and total weirdo; he is still an absolute genius. the greatest architect ever, IMHO. i feel that i know so little of architecture and everything i read made sense. every manifesto and theoretical stand to me made logical sense. everything is possible and sensible. heck im a sponge.
oohh... there's House today.

what a difference a day makes...
smoke pot? go fishing? run a marathon? eat more? scavenging for truffles?
last night, while trying to get some shuteye. i thought of a whole new design for a house. man, the wrong time to be thinking of that. fengshui! fengshui! focus!
strangely, i'm not really all that stress about it. i mean, technically i should be studying at the final hours before the exam. every minute counts.
okay. i better read up. once more.

Memory... a precedent?
all sources are from memory.
everything is a derivation from memory.
a reflection is seen through memory.
creation or recreation is only able when there is a memory.
reaction retraces memory.
everything has been experienced by our senses
but the memory is hidden.
all memories will in due time reveal.
the future of memory is uncertain.
it is an unpredictable parallax of time.
cities are generated through memory.
architecture is the re-emergence of memory.
it existed from something or somewhere.
reinterpreted or copied into the present.
repetition is the key to instill realised memory.
boldness and exaggeration magnifies memory.
time does not induce memory.
memory is forgotten but not erase
kapoof!!

"Architecture is the art of how to waste space."
The painters have every advantage over us today...Besides being able to tear up their failures—we never can seem to grow ivy fast enough—their materials cost them nothing. They have no committees of laymen telling them what to do. They have no deadlines, no budgets. We are all sickeningly familiar with the final cuts to our plans at the last moment. Why not take out the landscaping, the retaining walls, the colonnades? The building would be just as useful and much cheaper. True, an architect leads a hard life—for an artist.
...Comfort is not a function of beauty... purpose is not necessary to make a building beautiful...sooner or later we will fit our buildings so that they can be used...where form comes from I don't know, but it has nothing at all to do with the functional or sociological aspects of our architecture.

Storm...
So overwhelmed by the oceans shapeless form.
The waters getting harder to tread
With these waves crashing over my head.
if I could just see you everything would be alright.
If I could see you the darkness would turn to light
And I will walk on water, and you will catch me if I fall,
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright,
and everything will be alright.
I know you didnt bring me out here to drown,
So why am I ten feet under and upside down.
Barely surviving has become my purpose
cause Im so used to living underneath the surface.
if I could just see you everything would be alright.
If I could see you the darkness would turn to light
And I will walk on water and you will catch me if I fall
And I will get lost into your eyes
And everything will be alright
And everything will be alright.

sick cycle carousel...
shucks, i shouldnt have taken up RP. its interesting, but making it into a subject just drains out the fun in its exploration. wish i could just drop a subject and concentrate on studio. i've really been neglecting my other subs channeling most of my dedication towards design. i guess extending a semester just to concentrate on studio isnt a bad idea i guess. better get it over and done with.
played tennis today with ethan. man its been awhile since i've exercised. great weather. managed to sweat it out, and now i feel less guilty eating. i feel slightly fitter than usual. man, better pay me rent tomorrow. and where is that stupid fella with my FOBS?! he's taking forever to fix it, plus he doesnt return my calls.
anyway, back to tennis. i think i'm dead rusty. my confidence is really slumping. well, its been like that for years. and speaking of that, just when i was gaining back my feel on basketball, now im nowhere near the courts. damn weather/assignments. then again, everyone around are not very inspiring/motivating to keeping fit, 'cept for the occasional ethan. does it really look like father and son playing tennis?! no way...
i should insist on telling. BenFolds is a real talented musician. i love his voice. it be so cool to have such talented fingers on the piano and a semi sort of melancholic voice to go with it. so nice. though, i'm begining to dig ClayAiken as well. confidence is the key, which i deadly lack. im like AustinPowers losing his modjo.
had my graduation ceremony last saturday (i'll post some photos soon). it was okay, i mean boring. plus the people who attended my gradaution actually sneaked out half way through leaving me there listening to people giving speeches about food and agriculture. atleast i manage to wake up on time for it being that fact lately i've been waking up no earlier than 10am. wasnt exactly a very exciting event for me. its not even a full degree, i mean the idea of graduation is the symbol of an end of an era and into a new one. which in this case would be working world. hence receiving i still had no feeling of accomplishment. i still have no idea whats so exciting about receiving the bach of planning and design? its useless. however, its great to finally be able to see how my great seniors (StephanBekhor, ThomMckenzie, DanButler, PeterFurlong and FionaPoon) actually look like in the physical and not their design works. i've always wondered who they really were, and to my surprise some of them i've seen them around and were in the same tutes. interesting indeed. i had always imagine ThomMckenzie being really tall and slinky, instead it was the opposite. man, its going to be tough, being the fact taht i'll be categorized into the same generation of architects as them.

oh dearie me...
i have this love hate relationship going on with SLEEP. it just takes over and my body is becomes so vulnarable to its power. and i can do nothing except snore and dream that i'm up and running trying to work on my project. i wish i could just not sleep...
anyway. im thinking if i should eat another packet of indomee... NO! i shouldn't. the cold weather is really making me hungry.
today's agenda. a lecture on Asian Cities at 12pm. i really hope this will be interesting. but then again how interesting can a second year subject be. Derham is just bad, basically... its silly to let a caucasian to teach us about Asian customs/culture. all they would bloody know about is the "technical mechanisms" of fengshui. i missed yesterday's screening of "sepet" at the archi faculty. sigh. the timing is just bad. but today KengoKuma is giving a talk about his theoretical position on creating a "place of no place". the only project of his that i know of is the "great bambo wall". nevertheless he shoud be interesting, anything better than having to submit our urban schemes today.
note to self: get a stack of A3 paper. develop digital photos.

whats been up...
anyway. been mentally busy and slack at the same time. time is just sooooooo precious that i still keep the watch inside the gift box, forgetting that it still runs with or without being strapped around my wrist...
Major presentation on thursday. and i have to show some sections tomorrow in studio.
Helping out in VBS during the winter break. its my debut trying to handle a bunch of 12 year old kids. apparently i'm qualified to do so because im young and hip and cool and funky. atleast there are still some people who thinks i am. heh. wazzap!
LTC. thank goodness its a small group this time. just hope the other facilitators will remember to focus on the participants and not to treat them as objects. i had enough of birthday celebrations and i have to do bible study with the participant. leave it to me...
Bible study. leading bible study on the book of Romans this friday. well at least all these bible study preparations is making sure my nose is kept in-between the pages.
in no time, me and Paul would be like this... (knots index and middle finger together)!
i dont think i can go exercising this week. i missed basketball today. man thats sad. i think im starting to lose my motivation. no! plus my appetite is getting bigger... darn winter!
okay. back to sections... urban planning is seriously full of rubbish. though i must say, the drawings looks inspirational/ professional. its the in thing now and everyone wants to call themselves urban planners even though in reality its a totally redundant job at times. i still dont understand the significance of urban planning graduates in society. seriously, all they do is cook up a whole lot of theoretical nonsense. trying to figure out the most ideal way of place arrangement, but in the end, all they do is just cutandpaste the precedents. the most ironic part is that they dont know how to design, heck they cant even draw. nevertheless, small urban schematic figure ground diagrams looks pretty cool in a presentation board.
fact is, you dont need an urban planner to figure all that out... an Architect is so much more capable in handling these matters. plus we can draw it out.

"more with less"... isn't necessary minimalism.
Deciding where to go for lunch as a group is such a hassle and pain. i'd rather go alone and decide for myself. everyone just doesnt want to make a decision and different preferences is always a problem. but finally managed to try out one of the greek cafes along lonsdale street. man it was pretty much what i'd expected. all the lovely pastries so tempting.
why is a bougata called a bougata? nevertheless it was delicious/ fattening.
no worries, playing basketball later today. still trying to increase my metabolic rate. spicychickennoodle isnt really helping much.
i found a new secret basketball court(s) between a catholic church and catholic college. so many rims to choose from and all with nets. i love it when the ball goes through the hoop with a "swoosh". still trying to regain my confidence on the floor. damn! lost my tall player to prayer meets.
potbless at Arthur's rectangular table. note to self: sundriedtomatoes and stirfriedveggies are a bad combination. but Arthur's blackforrestcake was pretty good. why the heck is he in Landscape? he should just focus on his baking/cooking. i could imagine him opening up a charkueytiao store. tsktsk. i meant Cafe/ Ristorante. Chris' dishes were pretty interesting as well. haha. for once the guys out win the girls in cooking.
Anyway, i should be reading on AldoRossi. its getting late.

searching for perfection in relation to... Entortung.
Who is the real seducer?
By PARVEEN GILL
SEREMBAN: Who is the victim? This is the million-dollar question.
A 78-year-old man who became an instant millionaire last month and a 53-year-old widow he befriended three months earlier have made police reports against each other claiming one had seduced the other.
The man was among the Felda Sendayan settlers who got handsome payments from the Government for their land.
The woman, whose husband died 10 years ago, is a direct-selling distributor.
They met at a bus stop four months ago and he became one of her favoured customers.
On Tuesday, the man made a police report claiming she allowed another woman to take photographs of his naked body.
The following day, police picked up the woman for questioning.
In retaliation, she also made a police report, charging that the millionaire had tried to force her to sleep with him.
In his report, the man claimed that the woman had asked him to go over to her house in Seremban 2 to discuss a land proposition and money she owed him.
He said when he arrived at the woman's home, she asked him to undress and to just wear a towel and wait in her bedroom.
He claimed that she later came into the room and ripped off the towel from his body. At the same time, a younger woman came in and took pictures of him in the nude.
The man said the widow then gave him back his clothes and he quickly left the house. He then contacted one of his sons and lodged a report at the district police station here.
The widow, who has two children aged 35 and 30, said the man was trying to defame her because she rejected his marriage offer.
She said he came to her house at 10am on Tuesday.
“He asked for a drink and later he got up and walked into one of the bedrooms. When he came out, he had nothing on but a towel,” she told The Star.
She claimed the man then pulled her hands, but she freed herself and fled into another room.
The man only left when she picked up the house phone and threatened to call the police, she said.
The widow was released on police bail until March 21, pending instructions from the Attorney-General's Chambers on whether there was a case against her.

its bedtime...
But we've gotta give credit to the bugger though. i mean, he was indeed the father of aussie modernism. apparently he's good friends with Glenn Murcutt, the O.C.D. architect, who only can work with himself and himself alone.
anyway. there was more to what i was going to write. but im pratically brain dead now.

i have enemies in melbourne...
LTC. bible study. i got abit lost during the discussion. interesting lineup of facilitators. apparently this semester's LTC would be pretty up close and personal. wonder what would happen if the majority of participants are females. i'll slowly evaporate.
i've been downloading alot of Rnb and funk music. i think im leading back to my old school interest. Basketball and RnB. just like old times during my early high school years. good times with no worries and total carefree. im subconciously trying to hide from the true worries of the future. man, i've never been to stressed out about it. maybe "dating" would keep me distracted. tsk tsk. no no... basketball, i must be true to the game. tennis as well.
i downloaded a whole list of BlackEyedPeas music. "guilty pleasure" as what paul would call it. but they actually do sound good. Will.i.am's a genius. been doing abit of research on funkmusic. hence i guess i be able to appreciate the music better. interesting facts. Fergie from B.E.P was formerly a member of the chic band, wild orchids. and the bands ColorMeBadd, POV, and Fugees were protégés of funk RnB legends Kool&theGang.
some old archi mates/ ex-housemates came down to pay me a visit. money makes the world go round. but its good to have a little catching up with them. see hows everyone doing. its weird being their senior and all. but always glad to help. and i love to embrace my seniority. heh.
anyway, i better go back to reading my text on 'revenge of Place' and drinking my green tea. i feel so ZEN. chill.

antifreeze & aeroplanes...
ugh. the kitchen really stinks. i think something died in there.
we've finally gotten ourselves a (tiny) fridge and (leaking) washing machine. not too bad. atleast it purchasing it was convenient. walkable distance. the owner was a pretty nice and friendly chap. and he collects air jordans. he's got almost all of them. apparently he's been collecting airjordans since 1993. so tempted to just grab a pair from the stack. we'll wait till he sells his new fridge then we attack. he's quite a big fella.
no class tomorrow. woohoo! i dropped business law sub because apparently i have not fulfilled my history sub quota. in the end i decided to waive PBL and keep my timber furniture workshop for next semester and take up Asian Architecture. its the only history sub that im vaguely interested. there isnt much history sub choices in the second semester. the ones that interest me i've already completed. sucks. nevermind. i'll just have to befriend one of them folks in PBL class. well, as long as i dont have to take ED then thats fine with me. and i hope it'll stay that way until i graduate.

watch out! here comes the funky man...
dinner... i made porridge. i had smelly beancurd cravings. plus i didnt want to gain back all the calories i lost again. just plain ol porridge with raw egg and beancurd. except for julius whom i think is weird for adding sweet chilli sauce into his bowl of porridge. this reminded me of merrick and rosso... with the bearded lady adding sweetchilli sauce in everything.
bought myself a new cd. kool & the gang: gold collection. i've been looking for it almost everywhere. '70s disco, thats the real stuff. the real original funk music!
right now my fingers are crossed. im hoping to get my first choice for my design studio. its a competition with a prize money of 20 grand euros. man i can do plenty with that amount of cash. i'll get myself a new.... ummm. i'll know what to do once i win that money. plus hopefully we'll get our fridge and washing machine by tomorrow. im in need of a fridge and my sweaty laundry is piling up at the corner.
okay im getting sleepy now. class at 11 tomorrow. better brush teeth... the tought/ memory of dr. moy doing a 7 in one blow really creep the jeepers out of me.

i like the way you move...
so now we've opt for a new way of living. a chill out minimalist style crib with bean bags and dim lights. everything is done on the floor except eating, we managed to get a replacement for the dining table. aint as big as the previous one but still good. timber finished. we're still in the process of revamping the place. trying to find the best deals for our essentials, i.e. fridge, washing machine, beanbags... even our new ironing board is at kneel level. we should change our carpet flooring into tatami mats. that would be so what we're in for. plus i hate carpeted floors, especially on rainy days.
while walking around the city looking for a fridge. we experienced a hail storm. that was pretty exciting, particularly when we were observing this guy trying to run across the tram tracks under the storm... and he slipped and fell. that must had hurt. hehe.
heck. im so lazy to type. and i just found out that im playing drums tomorrow... ugh.

smokey mountain lullaby...
ANYWAY, well the place is relatively messy. but im pretty proud of myself being able to wake up early to clean up the place. the place has been vacuumed and the kitchen smells... much better. and all the rotten food in the fridge... (almost) all gone. it got abit confusing figuring out what was expired and whats not. i need to go groceryshopping / supermarketing soon.
Another matter which is a hassle to settle... bills. sigh. it has been piling up in the last 2/3 months. how on earth can the phone bill be so high?! and theres this call to Lorne where nobody seems to know who it came from, 12AUD for just one phone call. geez!
besides cleaning up the place, i managed to run some errands down at uni. there has been a few changes at the faculty. all the doors are now painted in slick black, and they finally created a direct cut through from the archi building to the faculty office. architects think so alike at these matters. i've also manage to select my electives. taking up a business law subject this semester (been thinking of doing a business/law sub since early last year), and its back to night studio sessions again. for 2 days a week i might have to end class at 915pm. i dread to think of walking home at that hour during late autumn. it seems like a pretty packed semester, although i think i might have fridays off again.
my oh my, just found out from my sources that a friend is attached to another friend of mine. interesting. how did it all happened eh. never suspected it to happened, then again there was this once i remembered we all plotting on throwing eggs at him on his birthday and she was the mastermind of it all. hehe. cute. i still am amazed... how?

dalam benci ada rindu...
work in the morning was relatively exciting actually, stepped into the office and everyone was in no time updating me on the current status of the jesselton project. the client is getting impatient on the progress, but i just cant be bothered. still irritated by the mess left by the previous guy doing the project. damn lousy. nevertheless the morning was fun... i got to print out my drawings in A1 format. its always cool to print out drawings in a big scale. so profesional.
however the afternoon was somewhat the opposite. dragging myself to kill the time. maybe it was because i was sleepy. maybe i should had taken that nap instead of leaving the house earlier than usual. i can be so impulsive at times. i was so dead tired that i had to steal my colleague's coffee sachet that she placed near the hot water boiler. i think she was planning to make her own coffee plus that was the last sachet in the pantry. poor girl, i think she knows. i just pretended to show that i needed it more than her.
the heat + traffice here is driving me nuts, but i can imagine KL being 50x worse. WONDER WHY I GET MYSELF INTO SILLY WHIRLWINDS like that. besides, its just traffic. how much damage/ disruption can it cause. man! i can be such a loser.
paul's leaving tomorrow. cant believe he manage to squeeze in 2 wins from me. that reminds me, i better call julius' mom... soon.
ANYWAY, other shocking events. U2 won best album and song of the year. where the heck did thay come from?! out of nowhere. that was a real surprise...it definitely must had been a mistake.

i feel like reformating my mac... s'up!
a simple and humble man was really honored today. during these few days i've been reflecting on the times while he was alive, how unclose i was to him. i think the only words i've ever said to him was the usual Hi(s) and Bye(s) and the only physical contact made was the respectable handshake. nevertheless, deep down i knew that he loved us grandchildren, through that big smile of his whenever he sees us. he was definitely a man of few words. but things sort of changed when he moved to the old folks home. i guess when you become deaf, all you could do is talk since listening wasnt an option any more.
i never knew his faith in God was so deep and faithful. only till when i visited him once at the oldfolkshome and during the funeral. i always thought he and grandma were just sunday church goers and wasnt actively involve in church. turns out he was the church's official tailor and he's got plenty of homies at the church.
come to think of it, i do kinda miss him abit. miss the times when he was still living with grandma. the sifu in making "kiu ngiuk" and "pak cham kai"... yummy. i guess the tradition has been passed down to my dad, who is a relatively excellent tailor and at making "kiu ngiuk". but we've yet to taste his "pak cham kai". next in line to inherit the tradition would be... ummm.
now im really curious on how tomorrow would turn out to be at the reunion dinner. today was interesting, bcoz i get to see all my uncles and aunties in tears, a rare occasion you see them do it all together.
besides the funeral, it was a mudfest today. it was a muddy funeral from the funeral parlor all the way to the burial ground. thanks to my brother's judgement, we almost got stuck in the mud. the poor lady who drove right in the middle of the huge puddle of mud was seriously trapped. we couldnt help coz we couldnt afford to dirty ourselves, so all we could do was just watch her trying to get out of the danger zone for a few minutes before we decided to just turn back and leave her to figure it out on her own. later on the road to the burial ground was equally aweful... we had to walk through the mud. we were all muddy ankle down and i ruined my nice pair of shoes. knew i should had worn the other pair. well, atleast it only rain before and after the funeral.
other news. ive been playing alot of basketball on alternate days. got my self new custom made in-soles. the price of it is almost like a pair of shoes. infact its even more expensive than my new basketball shoes, which is giving heaps of feet problems. after trying out my new in-soles, i've developed blisters at my arc. i really really hate my feet. if only i had normal feet, it has faltered me from getting into the NBA. sigh... the "if only" dilemma.
but im still gonna play ball tomorrow. i dont care. i still kick butt.
