whats been up...
anyway. been mentally busy and slack at the same time. time is just sooooooo precious that i still keep the watch inside the gift box, forgetting that it still runs with or without being strapped around my wrist...
Major presentation on thursday. and i have to show some sections tomorrow in studio.
Helping out in VBS during the winter break. its my debut trying to handle a bunch of 12 year old kids. apparently i'm qualified to do so because im young and hip and cool and funky. atleast there are still some people who thinks i am. heh. wazzap!
LTC. thank goodness its a small group this time. just hope the other facilitators will remember to focus on the participants and not to treat them as objects. i had enough of birthday celebrations and i have to do bible study with the participant. leave it to me...
Bible study. leading bible study on the book of Romans this friday. well at least all these bible study preparations is making sure my nose is kept in-between the pages.
in no time, me and Paul would be like this... (knots index and middle finger together)!
i dont think i can go exercising this week. i missed basketball today. man thats sad. i think im starting to lose my motivation. no! plus my appetite is getting bigger... darn winter!
okay. back to sections... urban planning is seriously full of rubbish. though i must say, the drawings looks inspirational/ professional. its the in thing now and everyone wants to call themselves urban planners even though in reality its a totally redundant job at times. i still dont understand the significance of urban planning graduates in society. seriously, all they do is cook up a whole lot of theoretical nonsense. trying to figure out the most ideal way of place arrangement, but in the end, all they do is just cutandpaste the precedents. the most ironic part is that they dont know how to design, heck they cant even draw. nevertheless, small urban schematic figure ground diagrams looks pretty cool in a presentation board.
fact is, you dont need an urban planner to figure all that out... an Architect is so much more capable in handling these matters. plus we can draw it out.

"more with less"... isn't necessary minimalism.
Deciding where to go for lunch as a group is such a hassle and pain. i'd rather go alone and decide for myself. everyone just doesnt want to make a decision and different preferences is always a problem. but finally managed to try out one of the greek cafes along lonsdale street. man it was pretty much what i'd expected. all the lovely pastries so tempting.
why is a bougata called a bougata? nevertheless it was delicious/ fattening.
no worries, playing basketball later today. still trying to increase my metabolic rate. spicychickennoodle isnt really helping much.
i found a new secret basketball court(s) between a catholic church and catholic college. so many rims to choose from and all with nets. i love it when the ball goes through the hoop with a "swoosh". still trying to regain my confidence on the floor. damn! lost my tall player to prayer meets.
potbless at Arthur's rectangular table. note to self: sundriedtomatoes and stirfriedveggies are a bad combination. but Arthur's blackforrestcake was pretty good. why the heck is he in Landscape? he should just focus on his baking/cooking. i could imagine him opening up a charkueytiao store. tsktsk. i meant Cafe/ Ristorante. Chris' dishes were pretty interesting as well. haha. for once the guys out win the girls in cooking.
Anyway, i should be reading on AldoRossi. its getting late.

searching for perfection in relation to... Entortung.
Who is the real seducer?
By PARVEEN GILL
SEREMBAN: Who is the victim? This is the million-dollar question.
A 78-year-old man who became an instant millionaire last month and a 53-year-old widow he befriended three months earlier have made police reports against each other claiming one had seduced the other.
The man was among the Felda Sendayan settlers who got handsome payments from the Government for their land.
The woman, whose husband died 10 years ago, is a direct-selling distributor.
They met at a bus stop four months ago and he became one of her favoured customers.
On Tuesday, the man made a police report claiming she allowed another woman to take photographs of his naked body.
The following day, police picked up the woman for questioning.
In retaliation, she also made a police report, charging that the millionaire had tried to force her to sleep with him.
In his report, the man claimed that the woman had asked him to go over to her house in Seremban 2 to discuss a land proposition and money she owed him.
He said when he arrived at the woman's home, she asked him to undress and to just wear a towel and wait in her bedroom.
He claimed that she later came into the room and ripped off the towel from his body. At the same time, a younger woman came in and took pictures of him in the nude.
The man said the widow then gave him back his clothes and he quickly left the house. He then contacted one of his sons and lodged a report at the district police station here.
The widow, who has two children aged 35 and 30, said the man was trying to defame her because she rejected his marriage offer.
She said he came to her house at 10am on Tuesday.
“He asked for a drink and later he got up and walked into one of the bedrooms. When he came out, he had nothing on but a towel,” she told The Star.
She claimed the man then pulled her hands, but she freed herself and fled into another room.
The man only left when she picked up the house phone and threatened to call the police, she said.
The widow was released on police bail until March 21, pending instructions from the Attorney-General's Chambers on whether there was a case against her.

its bedtime...
But we've gotta give credit to the bugger though. i mean, he was indeed the father of aussie modernism. apparently he's good friends with Glenn Murcutt, the O.C.D. architect, who only can work with himself and himself alone.
anyway. there was more to what i was going to write. but im pratically brain dead now.

i have enemies in melbourne...
LTC. bible study. i got abit lost during the discussion. interesting lineup of facilitators. apparently this semester's LTC would be pretty up close and personal. wonder what would happen if the majority of participants are females. i'll slowly evaporate.
i've been downloading alot of Rnb and funk music. i think im leading back to my old school interest. Basketball and RnB. just like old times during my early high school years. good times with no worries and total carefree. im subconciously trying to hide from the true worries of the future. man, i've never been to stressed out about it. maybe "dating" would keep me distracted. tsk tsk. no no... basketball, i must be true to the game. tennis as well.
i downloaded a whole list of BlackEyedPeas music. "guilty pleasure" as what paul would call it. but they actually do sound good. Will.i.am's a genius. been doing abit of research on funkmusic. hence i guess i be able to appreciate the music better. interesting facts. Fergie from B.E.P was formerly a member of the chic band, wild orchids. and the bands ColorMeBadd, POV, and Fugees were protégés of funk RnB legends Kool&theGang.
some old archi mates/ ex-housemates came down to pay me a visit. money makes the world go round. but its good to have a little catching up with them. see hows everyone doing. its weird being their senior and all. but always glad to help. and i love to embrace my seniority. heh.
anyway, i better go back to reading my text on 'revenge of Place' and drinking my green tea. i feel so ZEN. chill.

antifreeze & aeroplanes...
ugh. the kitchen really stinks. i think something died in there.
we've finally gotten ourselves a (tiny) fridge and (leaking) washing machine. not too bad. atleast it purchasing it was convenient. walkable distance. the owner was a pretty nice and friendly chap. and he collects air jordans. he's got almost all of them. apparently he's been collecting airjordans since 1993. so tempted to just grab a pair from the stack. we'll wait till he sells his new fridge then we attack. he's quite a big fella.
no class tomorrow. woohoo! i dropped business law sub because apparently i have not fulfilled my history sub quota. in the end i decided to waive PBL and keep my timber furniture workshop for next semester and take up Asian Architecture. its the only history sub that im vaguely interested. there isnt much history sub choices in the second semester. the ones that interest me i've already completed. sucks. nevermind. i'll just have to befriend one of them folks in PBL class. well, as long as i dont have to take ED then thats fine with me. and i hope it'll stay that way until i graduate.
