the gate itself without the roof would have been ok...or the roof without the gate. what would have been better was to get a graphic artist and architect to come up with an artistic entrance with traditional motifs. but what is really off and that I can't stand is the gold writing on blue. so cliche la.

the gateway. a symbol of constraint of the chinese community in malaysia. by placing that it creates a boundary of chinatown, disallowing it to expand in anyway.
