nonsense...

was thinking in the shower. wondering whats all this about people constantly receiving word/ revelation etc from God. these people at every second believes that God speaks to them of what to say. opens up the Bible and tells people but basically repeats the same thing over and over. someone talks about love of how we should instill a lifestyle of love... and then someone comes up and says, " i think God is telling me to tell you that he wants us to love your neighbours".
ironically, these people are clueless in other sorts. things probably that mattered more. or maybe in human standards matters more. If god really speaks to them then why doesnt he tell them things like... "theres a rumour going around abt $900 deficit pls clear it up" or like, "you should be doing this or that etc"...
instead God tells them redundant matters, that seems encouraging but really doesnt help much anyway. its all about throwing bible verses around. and the purpose for? nothing. they dont know what the heck is going on... only know bible verses that dont really tell you specifically what to do. after all that, they would feel like they've been an encouragement to others but actually they had not done much.
eg: someone comes up at the end of the day and says... "God is speaking to me... telling me to tell you guys not to be discourage but continue to trust his word." heck... i tell myself that practically everyday. why not tell me something i dont know. like... campo baeza is holding an exhibition at the artscentre next fall. i mean that would defintely make me feel deeply encouraged, that will definitely instill hope in me to look forward to the future.
in the end, its we ourselves who have to figure it out what to do.
slap them in the face.
