finally managed to check out the British Art exhibition at the NGV. i love the "image of revolt" display the best. its so intense and alive, my eyes just glue itself like there was a magnet pulling it, you'd have to i had to literally turn my head away. i think the partial reason why it was interesting was because all these art pieces were immediate reactions towards the cold war, how every artist and movement reacted towards the situation in the 60s. Brits are so conservative/ pseudo-radical in their expression. i guess thats why pop culture was never really pop anyway, IMHO.
aside from that, i visited the brit prints display as well, the less-famous works of some of the famous artists. it was quite funny especially the dialectic prints between pharmaceutical products and art by Damien Hirst.

i hate those yelling advertisements on tv. they treat us viewers as if we're deaf or something. big text and loud voices, oh yea, gets our attention indeed. 'nuff said... im thristy.
did you know? Actor Daniel Wu actually graduated with a BA in Architecture at the University of Oregon. interesting.
