sweet november was... boring. the only reason why i was kept glued to it was the ending, if they would live happily ever after or not. the more i see Keanu act, the more i agree that he's not really that good of an actor. but then again, the whole movie was a mess. there was no climax in it, the whole plot was so stagnated. when the heck did they started to fall in love? to me it seemed like they already did from the moment they met. weird.
the movie plot was a typical one. similar to those korean drama series where two people decided to get together for whatever reason but strictly not to fall in love. then they get all happy happy together, then sad, then mushy. soon enough they realise that they actually like each other. But! then there's a catch... all the while the girl has cancer and is near mortality. but guy still wants to be with girl, but girl doesnt wanna ruin the moment. girl leaves and dies, and guy... moves on, thinking that it was a whole bunch of balony. oh it isnt so hard to be a director/script writer.
just hope i wont be too dissapointed about Keanu's movie next year, the remake of IL Mare.
aunt May called. she wanted to invite me to her house for christmas. nice family. its funny, i'm in the same team with her daughter in the worship team but instead i talk to the son. wonder why she name her son Christopher instead of Peter. so cool, he could had been called Peter Parker Tan... and she be aunt May. wait, that's wrong... its her son you idiot.
the church really is a lovely little family. everyone looks out for each other and the pastor really is a good example. hope they would have something on during easter. ofcourse they will, its a church. i'm still trying to figure out the different adult clicks within the church. see which group of family hangs out together or maybe they do rotation.
i talked to the organist today, well, it was more like he was talking to me. come to think of it, i dont think it was really much of a conversation. he was just informing me that we're using the wrong chords for the hymn. doesnt really affect me much. old people arent really good listeners. they love to talk or just trying to find a chance to use their voices. its like that Warren guy, the super friendly fella who talks to almost all the new faces. he can talk to you for hours given the opportunity. but he's really nice and hospitable. the only time i remember talking to him was outside the church sitting on the steel bench. he had a cold, and didnt want to infect the whole congregation with his germs. cant remember what we talked about, only remember the word- Vietnamese. how i ended up there? i was late for church.
cute little church, hope they wont get too ambitious like Reverend Lee. he's probably starting a new service next year, the 1800 hours service. no offence. numbers says it all. most people in the world seeks for acceptance and not really for God. but apparently he accepts everyone for who they are so they go for it. strangely, most christians dont offer that. then again the world doesnt either, but just an illusion of it. i guess thats why at the end of the day, its true that the quality of the congregation counts more than the quantity of them. if you take time and think, the sermon is only half as important as the congregation that creates the atmosphere of it. but ofcourse we must always be aware of the brainwashing sermons. when the pastor says... "Show me the Money!"
Anton's birthday yesterday. jules called to remind me about it. thank goodness Perth is 3 hours behind. its never too late. wonder what do normal people do on their 23rd birthday during the month of december. odd number. its a michael jordan number, i'm officially a legend. i hope the belly doesnt come with it.
found a carpenter cd while clearing up some stuff. so many scratches. i remember seeing a product which cleans cds in Office Works. interesting. and it costs less than $10, wonder if thats considered reasonable. it doesnt even require batteries, only manual labour. its been awhile since i've seen a new technology that uses a medieval touch. savvy.

I feel I've ran a marathon after reading this blog - so many issues - soap operas, family, christmas, church. BTW, the soap opera sounds like yours. Church - well, nobody's perfect
