Finally... its over... it was a really long week... being the fact that i was so badly yearning for the week to end, then again it was rather short... never enough time to finish all the work!! not really that satisfied with my work... though the model is pretty cool... this is a new record for me, only slept like 10 hours this whole week... im good... eh? i think it'll get worse as time goes by. this is the first time o see lots and lots of students work around all pinned up... unlike back in taylors where there were only a bunch of us... not much surprises there, coz we've been seeing each others work for like the whole semester... but having a big studio... theres room for lots of variety!!
But i was truely inspired by the senior's work!! they were having their presentation at the main atrium... and all the drawings and presentation stuffs... are really really beautiful and refine. i tell you, once i was down there admiring the works... i was really reluctant to go back up to our 3rd year studio... its really embrassing... how much we lack in everything... their photoshop and hand skills are really amazing... and lots of money is really spent on these sort of stuffs... i was told that the average cost per year on just printing is almost around 1000AUD!! crazy! but they are dedicated people... and i was contemplating on how i would be when i get to final year... the drawings are really beautiful!! just thinking about their drawings makes me truely inspired and fortunate that im doing architecture... it really pays off. architecture is just one profession that can drive your creativity... my presentation ended around 6++... but i stayed at the final students gallery just gazing at their magnificent works!! i wanna be like taht NOW!!
now i've really got together what im gonna do during the hols...
1. Refine and do my portfolio
2. re-watch the whole Matrix Trilogy + Animatrix
3. master my photoshop skills
4. study even detail architecture drawings
5. im gonna have my own winter design project... still thinking what to do...
6. re-read my "Architecture- the subject is matter" book
7. Learn this new CAD software... VECTORWORKS!!
8. Visit the architecture here at melb... especially the museums and galleries
9. refine more on my hand sketches
10. and sleep...
haha!! im a really happy man today... not sure why. probably the fact that my design studio is finally over... and was truely mezmerized by the fine articulation of the seniors' works!! wish i could take them home and re-read through all the drawings... nolar i just want their SKILLS!! since im so happy... i shall sing you all a song!!
